Hi, I’m Roberto.

My path into photography began entirely by accident during the COVID-19 pandemic. When non-essential businesses were ordered to close, my partner Fernanda, owner of Ouro Fine Jewellery and Piercings, purchased a camera and tasked me with photographing a large collection of jewellery for her online store. What started as an unexpected dive into macro and product photography quickly evolved into a passion for visual storytelling.

With a background rooted in music and education, holding a B.Music in Jazz Studies from Capilano University and a B.Education from UBC, I spend my days working as an IB PYP Music Specialist teaching Grades 1 - 5 Music and directing Choirs from Grades 1 - 12. My foundation in music deeply influences my visual work: both demand patience, precision, rhythm, and an eye for harmony.

When I’m not behind the camera for clients or in the classroom, you’ll usually find me outdoors immersing myself in wildlife and astrophotography.
